Last weekend I just raced through Scarlett and Cress.Scarlett was definitely my fav, because I am SO HERE for Little Red Riding Hood/Big Bad Wolf stories and I just loved their interaction.
I am a hard sell on Rapunzel stories but I think the author made some really smart choices about pacing (Cress is out of her tower damn fast, and the emphasis is on the development of her relationship once her prince is blinded and they’re both out in the world).
Honestly, what was fabulous about Cress was how much time the fairy tale heroines got to spend working together, and HOW AMAZING WOLF AND CINDER’S PRINCE CHARMING ARE.
Prince Kai has totally stolen my heart. He's polite and funny in this fantastic way!
And Scarlett’s storyline in Cress is just fucking brutal.
I am so impatient for book four of this series that I almost wish that I hadn’t read these books yet, and had waited until I read could them all at once. (Especially because I have to wait until 2015 for the next book.)
