I pointed out to a friend elsewhere that Tony manages to brood less than Batman despite going through trauma greater than him AND (realistically) dealing with PTSD. "Man, I'm dealing with a lot of enemies who might harm my girlfriend. I'd better keep her close and try to keep her up to speed because she's capable and keeps me sane. Er."
ooh, right, thinking about it I loved the Lois and Clark version of Superman as a kid, at least in part because it viewed his day job as something other than an obstacle between him and saving the day, and Lois as pretty awesome in her own right.
. . . honestly I think Steve skews so far liberal it's only his citizenship that disqualifies him from being a Canadian politician.
