Drive By Fannish Update

 Likely everyone else, I am greatly enjoying Ted Lasso. I know Rebecca/Sam cannot end well... but I also very much want it to end well.

I binge-read the A Court Of Thorns & Roses which has some major flaws but is also perfect for what it is (if you want an escapist fantasy where you get to be heroic and wear pretty dresses and everyone is handsome and a least half in love with you, check it out. I mean... skimm through the middle chunk of ACOTAR but after that it really gets enjoyable. And I appreciate the unprecedented hard left turn the author took in the beginning of the second book).

Other than that, I'm trying to wait out tiktok- I feel like that is where most of the fannish conversations are happening and I am NOT cool with a video medium. Can we PLEASE go back to a decent text platform?)

Thanks for the advice about ACOTAR. I've had the first book downloaded for a while, so maybe I'll give it a shot. I'm good at skimming. ;P

Planning to watch Ted Lasso at some point, which implies subscribing to Apple+ at some point, which I haven't actually done yet.

Yes - i found the beginning pretty interesting, the middle dragged, and then the ending really takes off and is a lot of fun. Also, the first book is absolutely key to everything that happens in future books, so unfortunately you can't skip in.
