I got up through the chunnin exam but never got to the Orochimaru stuff. Which means I never got to have the post-Orochimaru, post-Itachi stuff with Damaged!Sasuke and Telepath!Ino. I had these great ideas for them... it's not a ship I'm usually that into, but it was so perfect for this AU, because they're both so weirded out by the mental experience that killed Orochimaru, and they are attracted to each other yet angry about it at the same time, and when they finally do have sex it's almost anticlimactic because they had already shared brainspace. They keep doing it, though, and break the hearts of the other people they're seeing officially, until one day, when Ino's in her late twenties, she gets to the point where she's "Okay now." And Sasuke gets to the point where he's okay too-- stable, vengeance-fulfilled, and at the point where he doesn't care if Ino reads his mind because he hides nothing from her anyway. And... they're okay.

::sigh:: Oh, for the epic fics which I lost my outline... ::sigh:: I would have had fun writing that angry, bitter, spiteful, honest, wiser Sasuke, too...
