Yeah, I totally think that whole not-seeing his face often or ever is a fact in the labeling of his hotness. There was actually one fanfic that I really liked that had, later on, Kakashi pulling down his mask to 'eat like a normal human being' and Sakura being... rather underwhelled, even though everyone else was staring at him and dropping things, because after so many years of imagining what could be under the mask....
