Well, with Dresden, I think I read that the publisher wants a certain total number of books, so the main plot has to last that long. Which is annoying.

Speaking of Fade/Isana... I am SO underwhelmed with them. I just finished the third book and that whole subplot with him almost dying? Okay, yeah, it was badass of Isana to manage to keep him alive for a whole month, but I just keep on wanting to smack them for being so selfish. I mean, they were BEING BESIEGED and you're taking an AMAZING healer out of comission for a month so she can save one man who should be fighting in the first place? I just keep wanting to yell at both of them to get their heads out of their asses and start fighting the good fight.
Also, I'm kinda sad that Tavi is able to use fury craft now, although the fact that Kitia can as well is very, very interesting.
In things I love - oh my god Max. I just want to cuddle him so very hardcore. He's like... Gojyo. Oh, my god, he's so very like Gojyo. (In fact, I spent the the whole book going, 'you know, I bet massive amounts of money that the abuse was sexual and not just physical.')
