Hmmmm.....
I'm not sure what I think of Supernatural's season premier.
The good:
That it wasn't anything Sam did to save Dean.
I liked we didn't have to wait around waiting for Dean to show up.
Ruby's new body.
Sam's new powers.
The angel (totally called that since I saw the handprint on Dean's shoulder) was hot like burning, and a delightful mix of creepy yet with a jawline to trust. Also, I loved how they did the wings and the obvious symmetry between angels and demons.
The bad:
Issues with women are alive and well. That scene with Dean just slapping that woman was just... bad. Especially because he didn't try to get the demon out of her body. Since both the audience and Dean knew that she wasn't going to fight back, it just came across as abusive.
I hate it when shows try to do religion. Just... no. I mean, so far nothing has made me go 'hell, no' but... Supernatural, you are heading into dicey, dicey waters.
