I'm joking, of course. But I was thinking about Alucard and Integra and children (as one does) and imho there is a really interesting pull and tug going on between them.

It's been over a year since I read the manga (I just did a quick reread of volume 9 and I need to give the whole series a reread) so if there are fact that directly or indirectly contradict anything (or everything) I just said and I've forgotten, please feel free to correct me.

let's talk about things that are over- or underrated*. this can be anything from books/movies/shows/video games/songs/musical artists to people (famous or un, though refrain from sniping about fellow lj-ers), periods or events in history, scientific discoveries, other blogs and communities, words, languages, food, current events -- I know at least one person will write 'STOP TALKING ABOUT SWINE FLU' -- television commercials, inventions, icons, cities, architectural landmarks, etc.

I'll start us off:

Over-rated: Shikamaru/Sakura. Seriously, I am continually surprised by how many icons I find for this couple. Now, I know some people on my flist ship it and I love you anyway but I just don't get it. I mean, I can't imagine them actually reacting to each other in. Shikamaru/Sakura is like Pain/Konan without the tragic backstory and plot to destory the world Konoha. Usually I understand why people ship something, even if I don't, but this time...

Under-rated: Skittles. It had been over a year since I had eaten them when I randomly decided to get some from the vending machine a couple weeks ago and now I'm like, 'hot damn how did I ever forget how awesome these things are!'
