Okay, so, after Star Trek reboot, the Vulcan population is decimated.
Would that make Spock's genes more valuable (we needs all the genetic diversity we can get to keep the species going) or less (half Vulcan ≠ Vulcan)?

I'm inclined to think it's the latter, but the movie sort-of contradicts me on that, with Spock planning on quitting Star Fleet to help rebuild Vulcan.
That said, if they ever wanted Spock's genes, with their level of tech, I doubt it would put a crimp in him being on the Enterprise. It might throw some wrenches in the wheels with regards to Uhura.
