I agree with the commenters above. Bleach is one of those series that works well for being just gen or having a ton of romantic potential. I mean, so many things can be read different ways. My problem is that I ship so many people with so many other people that I always feel a little guilty about pairings because then someone's sad because they don't get one (or both) of them. Threesomes fix some of that, but they can be difficult to write.
I don't remember the last time I had over 5 characters in a series where I shipped them with at least 3 different people. And Bleach is my first series where I have the same number of het to yuri to yaoi pairings. It makes reading fanfic a little easier.
But to get back to topic, I do love Ishida/Orihime. They are a cute pairing, but obviously not canon. Anyone who thinks that Orihime has eyes for anyone but Ichigo in canon isn't reading the same series I am. I ship Ichigo/Orihime too... but that's where my guilt comes in. Especially with Tatsuki, because Tatsuki/Orihime is probably one of my favorite yuri pairings.
But there is always fan fiction, which a lot of people in fandom don't get. I might get a little sad about my pairing not becoming canon, but I'm not going to make a big stink about it in communities and such. Of course, I like to think I have a bit of common sense.
To sumarize, the secret poster kinda misses the point.
