They can work together -- like when they were sparking out over the flyer's engine -- and, despite the fact that most Sparks are supposed to get along like wet cats, Gil had no problem taking her advice and working with her. And a point that Agatha will find meaningful now that her identity is known: Gil fell for her before he knew she was a Heterodyne. Anyone who persues her after this point, she'll know is at least partially thinking of her title.

Lars . . . I saw Lars as having potential for a short-term romantic interest. Longer than that, and we get into the point that Gil mentioned: A Spark cannot have a serious, broccoli-level relationship with a non-Spark. A simple relationship, resulting in marriage and kids but leaving each other alone most of the time while the Spark's in the lab, must be possible or the lines would die out frequently. But real connections? Unlikely.

Gil listens, and he's a very strong Spark in his own right -- even if Kaja's hints turn out to be correct and Agatha still hasn't broken through, he'd have a better chance of keeping up with her than anyone.

Overall, the sweetest thing I think he's done is fixing Adam and Lilith. Sure, it's something that Agatha would dearly love him for and earn major brownie points, but he thought she was dead-dead and did it anyway.
