Usually there is a faint feeling of satisfaction upon successfully understanding some new facet of human interaction; however, that particular conclusion didn't produce that same feeling at all.

That may mean that he had not found the correct solution. Clearly his shinobi instincts were subliminally informing him that this question - Sakura's state of happiness or lack thereof while in the absence of her teammates - had not yet been answered.


I love this part most of all, since it shows Sai relying on his own emotions to understand emotions. I love all that inner logic stuff, it makes me squee.

And the line of cuteness vs. deformed: win. Because we all know that in order to draw or write the ultimate cuteness, we must deform it.
