Santa Baby....

The Rules:

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My List:

Good smut (for just fic in general) for any of my lesser known OTPs - Hakkai x Yaone, Kakashi x Sakura.

Fanworks - just about anything- for Soul Eater. Especially Maka-centric.

Good Maka icons. Especially with the text, 'no man's daughter.'

A external HD with which I can take advantage of the Time Machine feature on my computer.

An Olive icon, from Pushing Daisies. Oh, Olive.

A new leather jacket.

Advice on the best way to watch television shows from my computer, bonus points if someone could explain the least likely way for me to get in trouble if I wanted to download the show and not just stream it.

Zip-up hoodies. I'm usually a medium to large in women's. (I'm relatively thin but I'm tall, if that gives you an idea.)

Boots. I love boots, and am pretty consistently a size ten. I am especially interested in the more wintery flat books with artistic faux-fur accents - but pretty boots, not, like, Ugg boots whose popularity fails me.

A mac compatible version of the latest version of Word. I hate to say it, because I'm a mac girl at heart, but that seems like one of the best word processing program out there, and has features apple works doesn't. Also, it would be really nice not to have to switch the format of something every times I want to share it with anyone. [ETA: And I just found out, after a half an hour with tech support, that appleworks is not even supposed to run on my computer, so the problems I've been having are to be expected.]

Some kind of awesome keychain for my car key, or something fantastic to hang from the rear-view mirror.

Wallpapers for Avatar, Soul Eater, Naruto or Baccano! especially of my favorite characters. (I think my favs for each of those show is pretty obvious, but if you're in doubt, feel free to ask me.) I have a seventeen inch screen, by the way.

Earrings. I like danglies or hoops and my ears are super-sensitive, so stainless steel or titanium wire is best. Colors I like are purple, red, dark blue and black (this goes for just about everything, btw.)

A small, super-collapsable umbrella, with some kind of cool pattern or image on it. For years I just wore hats or got wet, but I'm recently been thinking that an umbrella might be really nice, especially for when it gets torrential up at Western.
