avatar_contest , week 36 – voltage.
Summary: "In the split second after Azula drew lightning up through her body, shot it across the sky like the armies of the Fire Nation sweeping across the world, she forgot that she had to be perfect."
In the split second after Azula drew lightning up through her body, shot it across the sky like the armies of the Fire Nation sweeping across the world, she forgot that she had to be perfect.
She was perfect, from the tips of her fingernails to the toes of her shoes, she was seven generations of Fire Nation royalty, the most elite bloodline in the world, all purified and distilled into her form.
Then she realized that her hair was mussed and she was breathing hard and her left heel was angeled three-quarters of an inch too far to the left.
Azula coated the self-rebuke that rose in her throat with steely, icy rage, tossed her head, and began her form again.
Two weeks later, Azula turned eleven.
