Hahaha, yes. I've been rewatching Xena off and on for the last year or so, and it's been amazing because A) it's such a trip down memory lane, and B) the subtext is TEXT, holy cow.
I used to watch it on the weekends when I was a little kid, and honestly didn't think of Xena as anything very special, seeing as I was being raised by a six-foot mighty Amazon at the time (I love my mother--and my dad, for that matter). I still remember the moment in high school when I passed a TV at the health club that was playing an episode with them in a bath together and thought, flabbergasted and inexplicably delighted--Hey! They're in love, aren't they!
I didn't have much chance to watch it since then, but I got reinspired last year and I'm loving the awesome 90's camp and epic love story more with every episode. Oh, Xena. ♥
