Mmm... good point about the lack of consequence and the, ah... VERY realistic way Kishimoto portrays a woman in love. Yeah. Sarcasm first thing in the morning is like a nice cup of coffee. And I know people have said that they'll accept SasSaku if she lays the bastard out on his back, but honestly? I don't think I would. First of all, Sasuke's still so much of an arrogant dick that being smacked down by a girl wouldn't matter much to him. He'd probably chalk it up to a lucky shot or something. Now, if she gets in a SECOND hit, THEN maybe he'll take notice and be like, "Huh... well, damn."
But regardless of whether she beats the shit out of him like he deserves, I'll be pissed if it DOES become canon. Because, once again, Sasuke suffers no consequences. He turns his back on his friends, goes emo--er, I mean evil--, becomes Madara's freakin' pawn and wants to see everyone he knew and grew up with dead. If he comes back from all that and Sakura ends up with him... I'll want a refund on the portion of my life I wasted reading this shit. And then I'll console myself by writing fanfic where Sakura realizes what a douche Sasuke is and hooks up with Kakashi/Sai/Yamato/all three at once instead.
