It always looked like they were saying a pause. Even then, I was a grammar nazi. I hated it.
I know! You can't say a pause! Dialogue doesn't work like that!
Is "cum" not a word? I didn't like reading it, regardless.
It's not, it's a misspelling.
I have read a fanfic that literally said, "he thrusted into her clitoris for five hours."
Anatomy fail.
