Exactly. I mean, there are some pairings that I just cannot see the subtext for and that I totally do not think can be in character, that does not mean ANYTHING AT ALL about the people who DO ship it.
But no. For all the intelligent, well-read, analytical people who ship Zuko/Katara, and for all well-written, interesting, true-to-character fanfiction the ship has, CLEARLY WE ARE ALL RETARDED. Well, at least NOW WE KNOW, because this one person has decided that for us.

yeah, apparently Avatar was supposed to be a crappy shonen written by the cursed love-child of KT and Kishimoto.
If the ship is threatened by her being with another man during the finale, then it's not as strong as it should be.
Especially since her ship ONLY ENDED UP TOGETHER in the end. I don't buy that cann>fanon crap, but sweet jesus, enjoy the scenes of them kissing, you know? God knows if the situation was reversed I would be.
