This sounds similar to when I got a new bookcase (waist high) convinced that I would finally have enough shelving, only to end up with piles of books on top of it.

I quite adored the worldbuilding and general ideas behind Wicked Lovely, and I suspect you'll spot my favorite character pretty quickly, but it had a bit of "your kinks aren't mine" going at times (not skeevy gender issues kinks, thankfully) and was more dismissive of a couple things than I thought it should be. I have the sequel lurking around the top of my TBR list.
