Umm... okay. As if the penis is a work of biological art? And that transcends just a simple body issue, which everyone has. That then becomes the issue of hating your own sex. And THAT is very troubling indeed.

Yeah, I didn't phrase that well at ALL, so I apologize for it. What I was driving at is, even though there are certainly a number of sexist issues still prevalent in Western society, there HAVE been some positive steps forward, moreso than other places. I know things have definitely changed in Japan, but the gender roles are still a bit more pronounced than they are here. And by saying "I blame the het fail", I was referring strictly to it being perpetuated in fandom/fanfic. It'd be stupid to blame them for the gender fail in OUR society.
