What I find saddest is that they cultivated and articulate fannish lady (Shaggirl) to discuss fandom and slash with them at great length. Then seriously back-stabbed her. I'm sure she feels used... Honestly, the best thing to do is to ferret out which publisher they planned to sell this work, and armtwist/blackmail them to drop the project. I honestly don't think anything other short of a rabbit-kick to their wallets will jump start their conscience.
