Aww, poor, poor Sai. Sakura is so oblivious. Just the way I like it.
One bit I really liked: "Over dessert I thought my dad was going to offer you my dowery." Sai sucked in a breath. It just shows so well what he's really trying to do. :) (And, you know, I liked all those other bits too.)
Also: The lamp-post across the street snapped when Sai's body hit it. Either that boy is head-over-heels in love with her (haha I just realized what an apt description that is of their relationship) or a total masochist. Or both, idk.
But yeah, loved it. Well, except that it made me sad that Sakura didn't have a good relationship with her mom really, but it's so cute how Sai's worming his way into Sakura's family and she doesn't even get it and it's sweet and just a little angsty and I want to know what's going on in Sai's head right then, so it's okay. ^_^
