confusedkayt, Thanksgiving.
Summary: Pepper is snowed in. In Malibu.
General Mitchell Internatational airport was socked in with an early blizzard and all commerical flights were grounded.
Which meant that this Thanksgiving, instead of eating sweet potatoes drowning in whipped cream and dry turkey and drinking too many glasses of cheap merlot while her aunts criticized her unmarried status, Pepper Potts was curled at the corner of his couch, chopsticks in her left hand as she tapped at her PDA.
The Stark Industries jet could fly her in, regardless of the weather, Tony knew, but he liked Pepper right where she was, hair pulled back to expose the delicate nape of her neck, bare feet curled under her, stillettoes tumbled against the leg of the couch, skirt pulled tight across her lap.
He was such a bastard.
"Pepper, try this chop suey," he ordered, holding up a piece of beef.
"I don't like chop suey," she informed him, and took a bite of her sweet and sour pork.
"But this is amazing," he said in a low, enticing tone that had gotten quite a lot of women women to make very bad choices in his presence.
"Not interested," Pepper responded sweetly, looking up from her PDA with flashing eyes.
"Ms Potts, I think you are," he wheedled, moving the piece of beef towards her pursed mouth.
Of course, this was Pepper Potts he was talking about. She knew the compacities of his company and the equipment therein better than he did. If she really wanted to go back to Wisconson for the holiday, she could have asked for the jet.
Tony told himself that clearly, she shared his personal views about how Thanksgiving should be spent.
"Mr Stark, I would strongly advise you to keep your dinner on your side of the couch," she said frostily, but there was heat in her eyes.
Thanksgiving should be spent with the people you loved.
