Also, when I saw that scene of Castle for the first time, I noticed that almost every character is a red head. Even Beckett's hair has a reddish tint, especially in the early episodes. I'm fairly certain there's a character analysis in there somewhere.
At the very least I think it's safe to say that Castle definitely has a type.
