Soulless, by Gail Carriger, is an urban fantasy steampunk with the most delightfully badass and proper heroine since Amelia Peabody. I love the tone, the vocabulary, the romance (oh, god, the romance - I haven't been this giddy since Katniss Everdeen was thinking she was getting played by Peeta Mellark). The quipping between Alexia Tarabotti and the alpha werewolf (and only love interest, natch) makes my dialogue-whore heart flutter.

Read it.

(My one complaint about this book is the pov switching - everyone once in a while, the author will change whose head she's in without a page break. However, that decreases at exactly the same point when the author gets her feet under her and the book is like: interesting plot, interesting plot, line so funny you're laughing out loud at 3 am, interesting plot.)
