Now I totally want to see fic where Robin moves and Barney follows her!
When Lily said "On the plus side, we might get rid of Barney," I was like "Well... I wouldn't be too sure if Robin is the first to go."
I enjoyed that episode because it did that thing I love about HIMYM: it takes one very simple concept and builds an episode around it in a self-contained, erratic, interesting structure that allows us to get a feel for the characters.
Sometimes I appreciate that HIMYM episodes have even less "plot" than regular sitcoms do in an episode. There was no plot to this episode, there was only a contextual situation by which we could explore the characters and play with POVs. And it was fun! I also loved that Robin got a date with Marshall's friend she bumped into.
And another part of me is happy that Barney will still pick Robin out of a crowd without recognizing her. I know that it's supposed to show he's shallow and so ditzy he doesn't even see the person behind her body, but after this happening multiple times in the series, both before AND after they were involved, I like to think it's partly his subconscious that always has Robin in the "yes" category, any day. Other women he's blind to, but he's never blind to Robin, even when he doesn't know its Robin. *yes, shipper rationalizing*
