Yeah, I have the feeling that given his job situation, he'd be the first one on her doorstep.
I enjoyed that episode because it did that thing I love about HIMYM: it takes one very simple concept and builds an episode around it in a self-contained, erratic, interesting structure that allows us to get a feel for the characters.
Agreed. And it feels like it's been a long time since they've had an episode do that so well.
And another part of me is happy that Barney will still pick Robin out of a crowd without recognizing her. I know that it's supposed to show he's shallow and so ditzy he doesn't even see the person behind her body, but after this happening multiple times in the series, both before AND after they were involved, I like to think it's partly his subconscious that always has Robin in the "yes" category, any day.
