Just because the developments in their relationship are merely an extension of their actions in the whole text; Sookie's obliviousness and OOC blithe dismissal of vampire danger has been extending to everyone, Bill's condescending, self-righteous conviction he is correct in all things affects all of his interactions, not just their relationship.
