I think the physical side to things comes easy to him but the deeper emotional stuff is foreign to him so he's letting Ava lead the way. I'd imagine though, as their relationship progresses and they settle into one another, we're going to see a more dominate side to Boyd emerge.
I look forward to that! And whether or not we see a sex scene or a post-sex scene will, I think, depend on if they went right up to bed at the end of this episode or if the writers are holding back the complete comsumatation for later in the season.
