–I loved that Jefferson was the person who got Belle out of the hospital but I am CRUSHED that it was teased that Belle wouldn't remember while Mr. Gold would - which was exactly what I wanted - and then thirty seconds later the curse was broken-ish.
That would have been much more interesting IMO. Or I've read way too much good fic where this happens and watching Gold be desperate/adorkable around Belle is way more satisfying.
–On the Belle/Rumpelstiltskin front, I hope that next season writers actually explore the fact that Rumpelstiltskin does love power a fuckton. I feel like all my fellow shippers are going to be like, 'everything is rainbows!' and I'm like, 'this dick couldn't pause for three seconds to explain to his poor, just got out of the hospital basement gf what he was about to do? That is not a good thing.'
I agree it's not good, but it's in character for him- the guy does not have a solid background in ever showing other people more than one card in his hand at a time, if that. He's been clinging to the voice in the back of his head that insists he not trust anyone for so long that he probably barely remembers how. (Not that trusting people got him very far before his 'career change' in fairytale land, anyways.)
