Speaking of, it was kind of silly that Emma threw a sword at her. I suppose maybe that part of her neck was thin-skinned, and fairytale swords aren't heavy or something?
Well, Prince Phillip originally threw the sword at the original Maleficent and killed her, so that's probably what they were going for.
