Weekend Update (TV Edition)
Young Justice
I so don't care about Roy - any iteration of him - so most of this episode was pretty blah for me.
Things I did like:
Green Lantern
Despite not having either of my two favorite characters in it, this was a solid episode. And I will always have a lot of respect for Carol's position and the classy way she stated it.
Once Upon A Time
I had a lot of doubts about season two of OUAT - but I found the opening episode immensely reassuring. IMMENSELY.
I am VERY interested in that dude in New York in the opening, I can't wait to find out why Regina doesn't remember Jefferson, and I cannot wait to see Emma and Snow having adventures together. (Less thrilled about Aurora and Mulan, because the set-up for those two was EPICALLY LAME.)
I cannot wait to find out who Whale is. And Charming's reaction to finding out about that one night stand was PRICELESS.
I was DYING OF DELIGHT at all the fantastic Regina/Emma. And yeah, I know it's shipper goggles, but Emma not letting them kill Regina, being the one to check that she's okay, standing over Regina to protect her from the wraith... all of that made me very happy. And frankly, the scene at the end where Snow, Charming, Regina, and Emma were fighting together was basically everything I have ever wanted from this show.
This is how I feel about the Rumpelstiltskin/Belle relationship:

God, I want to go back and slap the me that shipped them super-hard eight months ago.
And finally, I found this promo pic:

It gives me more Snow and Regina AU feelings. God, so much to love about this - how happy and badass they look, Regina's drinks + Snow's apple, THAT THEY ARE BOTH WEARING PANTS, Regina's epic boots of epicness.

Things I did like:
- Chesire naming her daughter with Artemis' middle name.
- M'gann apparently being more concerned with Conner not getting a party than her kidnapped boyfriend.
- the hint that the Red Hood arc happened in this universe.
- more hints about how bad the future Bart comes from is.

I love the placing of Snow and Regina, the two queens of the Royal House of White.
I have a lot of feeeelings about Regina and Snow. Like, a lot. I love that they played Snow's feelings for Regina as ambiguous I can understand why Charming would still be angry at Regina but I love that it was never clear how Snow felt about Regina.
Also canon: both Regina and Snow love apples.

That's pretty much exactly how I felt!
Less thrilled about Aurora and Mulan, because the set-up for those two was EPICALLY LAME.
Again, agreed. Heh.
And Charming's reaction to finding out about that one night stand was PRICELESS.
That was *awesome*. I love how he and Snow immediately swung back into their old rhythm--the awkwardness of their Storybrooke personas was completely gone, their vibe just instantly changed back to Snow+Charming, somehow.

LMAO! What is Olivia saying in that GIF?
I don't ship them, but I'm kind of reassured by the fact that the writers seem to know what an asshole Rumple, is, and that they seem to be going the, "He'll never change and cannot be redeemed by the power of lurve" route? Which I wouldn't mind as a tragic story, actually.

So glad Snow/Charming are back to themselves. The Charming family reunion was excellent.
I want it to be next Sunday now.

-Chesire did that? Sweet! I'm getting such Crock feels from this episode.
-The M'gann/Superboy in this episode totally broke my heart. I think she really wanted to throw him that party, but felt guilty because her boyfriend is in captivity.
-I hope Jason makes an appearance in YJ.
Note: I would respond to the GL feels on your blog but I'm only on episode 3 and would rather not spoil myself for future episodes BECAUSE THIS SHOW IS AWESOME.

And wow, I was hoping Mulan just had some comradely relationship with Philip, not some pointless romance. They could still have conflict with her and Aurora because of Mulan's competence and reasonbale doubt of Aurora's. Except then they both just screamed and cried and let him lose his soul, after all that fighting and insisting. Even David, I thought, tried his best to save Regina just because the women he loved wanted him to (speaking of which, it's like their Storybrooke selves were just shadows, isn't it). I wonder why Mulan knows to connect the wraith's appearance with Emma and Snow's.
I loved all of that trying to save Regina also, and not knowing what she will do with this new story. I am very pleased.
The apocalypse aspect is interesting - everything destroyed except for one ravage bit of land? The empty palace where Aurora was?
Thanks to you, I checked out Green Lantern and Young Justice last Saturday. Those were the first episodes I watched, due to lack of time. I think I may keep watching.

Indeed. You could see that it killed her to break up with Hal, but that she had to think about her own life on earth too. Also, this episode really does link back towards the power of love episode where Carol said you have to put your loved one's needs before your own. I think that was what she was doing by letting Hal go because I don't think Hal could ever just give up his job.
