"He's the one who's been a real father to me" = completely true. And it's AWESOME to have him realize it and tell off his bio dad with this factoid.
And it was really just odd that the Fire Nation kept dangerous prisoners alive, without getting any use out of them, and having to go through complicated procedures to even give them a drink of water. I mean, they wiped out an entire nation -- why keep the waterbenders alive? At the very least, killing them off would prevent any others who develop the abilities from mastering them (at least without sailing across the world).
And Zuko inna zeppelin! I honestly think he's at his hottest in that last bit.
