Vote for two master assassins in love. I realize they are up against an old-school shipping juggernaut but I feel like our two avengers can take on Mulder/Scully and triumph!

Also, I succumbed to fandom peer pressure and wrote out my thoughts on which Hogwarts houses which Avenger belongs in. I am blushing but I also want to hear my flist's thoughts.

I actually had an extended discussion with a friend recently about an Avengers HP au. This was her idea (she's mintysix on Tumblr) but the jist of it was that for a Thor and Loki, that they would be Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin, so that when they appear in the storyline it has the same "crawled out of myths and legends" effect.

I agree about Tony in Ravenclaw. People forget that his superpower is his intelligence and his need to know things. (Also, I completely love the idea of Clint and Tasha having a totally secret relationship during their school years and getting away with it).

I also feel like Ravenclaw for Maria? If only because I see her as a moral but fiercely logical character, meaning she would pay any price to get the outcome that will help the most people. She cares, but she doesn't let her emotions dictate the decisions she makes. Which is where her counterpoint to Fury comes in, since he is willing to take a gamble on his gut instincts.

Either that, or they date and everyone is like, 'how does that even work' and expects it to end super, super badly, only it never does.

Agreed! He's an old, battled hardened Gryffindor, but I think it's definitely there. "I believe in heroes." and so on.
