Pretty damn overdone. It's such a cliche of fantasy (and actually has a host of other genre alternatives). And honestly, I just finished reading the latest book in a book series that had YET ANOTHER deadly decadent court (this one the MOST deadly and MOST decadent of all!) so I'm really burned out at the moment.
Magnificent Bastard
Really good villain arch-type; but tends to skew dangerously close to the karma hodinini, one of my least favorite things ever.

NOT ONLY do I ridiculously love the trope namer (Catwoman and Catwoman/Batman) but I love all the associated tropes that tie into it: sexy catburgler, bad girl/good guy, foeyay, etc.
