One of the worst things about Supernatural is the lack of female characters - or the lack of women with any longevity on the show. It's like the writers can't bear to have their phallocentric sensibilities threatened by women in power. There are things that are all right about the show, but that's one of the main reasons I've never been more than an occasional viewer.

I could never really get into Veronica Mars. One of the ads orignially promoting the show called it, "Buffy with a brain," which I found incredibly offensive. Too much angst and teen drama, and I hate shows where the adults are even more immature than their bratty, entitled offspring. Some of the dialogue was clever, but I never really clicked with any of the characters.

I honestly don't really care either way about Thor/Sif. I like her well enough as a character and I'm hoping that she'll be better developed in the sequel, since apart from Natasha she's the only real warrior woman in the MCU. To be fair, I found Natalie Portman quite bland in the first one. I was disappointed with her performance - I've seen her in other things and I know she can do better - I didn't really buy her as an astrophysicist and her chemistry with Thor was rather lacklustre.

All things I hope will be addressed and improved upon in the upcoming movie, although Sif having an unrequited thing for Thor doesn't sound promising.
