but it just made darcy's characterization rather blandly nice & overwhelmingly friendly with every avenger (personally i think she'd clash with the entire shield set up more than a little).
I have ranted before about the tendency to write fics where Darcy dies/is hurt and EVERYONE cares and I'm like, no. First, everyone would not care. Second, even if everyone DID, they wouldn't all react the same.
But yeah, blandly nice Darcy drives me crazy (and frankly, I think she'd bore Steve, eventually. He has a tendency to surround himself with people who have a lot of vibrancy and fire; Bucky, Peggy, Dr. Erskine, etc, etc. Steve likes interesting people, imho.).
