I saw the Cassidy reveal coming at the start of the season, because of how they changed it so that she trusted him.
And that right there is why Logan is far superior to Duncan-Duncan never cared what people said about Veronica, or even Lilly. Logan, even knowing Lilly cheated on him, would kill you for it, and once he fell for Veronica, if you said one word, you were dead to him.
While I like Logan/Veronica, I can easily see Veronica/Weevil(I suspected that was your ship) a few years down the road. Right now, they're a little too much alike(as highlighted in the ep where he stole the school money) for me to ship them. I can, however, easily see them together a few years down the road, once they've established themselves as adults, because there is a mutual respect and working rapport between them.
And he is her pet gangster.
One of my absolutely favorite S1 bits is when she's looking for her neighbor, and calls his gang to come and harass the neighbor's boss. It is a teeny pinky, but they both know he's wrapped around to...but not to the point of being under her foot.
Honestly, I'm good with Veronica/Weevil and Veronica/Logan both...I just don't see one as working unless it only starts later.
