What? The post-bar scene was freaking awesome. That was exactly the reaction that she would have, and I found it incredibly romantic. This is Veronica people, she was feeling vulnerable and scared and of course she lashed out - and guess, what, he kind of deserved it to!
And Norington/Elizabeth is who I cheat on my Will/Elizabeth with. The more I rewatched CotBP, the more I loved James, who was such a perfect example of the steadfast navel officer, so noble and stalwart, and clearly loved her, and ended up letting her go gracefully. (What they did to his character was a large part of why I didn't like the second movie, and I can't believe all the people who thought he was sexier gunked up than in that spiffy wig and uniform.)
And when did Elizabeth almost ravish him on the beach in the second movie? All a remember was the "if the bars weren't here, I'd have you right now." which *guh*
