Happily Ever After

In case anyone is interested, I’ve written up my ideal post-series endings for the Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

Jane is going to be a famous fashion designer and Bing Lee is going to be her house-husband/sugar daddy (he spends most of his time volunteering and gazing adoringly at Jane). Caroline Lee also works in the fashion industry and before Jane think’s she’s ready, Caroline steamrolls Jane into starting her own label. Caroline is CEO and CFO of Designs by Jane.

Gigi takes what she intends to be one and turns into several years off to travel: she ends up making a hugely popular travel vlog series. She mets Caroline in Milan, and they start a romance. It began with a fabulous late-night dinner at an open-air café, during which Caroline had several glasses of wine, and when she was walking Gigi back to her hostel, she just thought, fuck it, pulled Gigi into a side alley, and kissed the hell out of her. Gigi was the one suggested (eventually) that they continue this back at Caroline’s hotel room. They have an on and off romance for several years before going public and announcing their relationship to their various families. (Lizzie, Lydia, and Fitz already knew, Darcy suspected, and everyone else is blindsided.)

Lydia finishs community college, couch surfs at Jane’s apartment for way too long, before getting an (shared) apartment of her own. She waitresses at a classy uptown bar where she makes bank in tips and is searching for her way to make her mark creatively. Lydia keeps saying she’s going to snag of the rich businessmen who tip her best, but she’s not immune to the cute bartender whose been in love with her since the third shift they worked together, when she threw a drink in the face of a particularly jerkish customer and then got the entire bar to serenade/drive him out with a rousing group rendition of “No Scrubs.”

Lizzie spends enough time with LBD, Inc., to know she can run her own company, and learns that she doesn’t really want to. She schedules a meeting with Darcy through Darcy’s EA, comes in with a resume and her portfolio and asks if he has any job openings. Darcy gets the ring he bought six months after he and Lizzie started dating out of his desk drawer and asks her to marry him.

Fritz and his boyfriend get married.

George dies alone.

Did I forget anyone?
