When I went to bed two hours ago, I couldn't help but notice that my throat was scratchy, so I told some cold medication.

Two hours of restless not!sleep later, I finally drag myself to full consciousness to understand that my throat is swollen and hurts and it's hard to swallow, my right gland is swollen, I feel hot and headachy.

Three days ago, my coworker went home sick two days in a row with what I'm pretty sure are where exactly symptoms, only worse.

No, no, no. I don't want to be sick. I took more drugs and I'm hoping that I'll wake up and feel just fine and dandy tomorrow morning.

Ugh, it's been so long since I've been sick and everyone around my got sick and I really, really, really did not want to join them.

qualapec, but sure to disinfect everything I touched at your house and like, warn your mom, please?



I'm going to go back to sleep (hopefully) and pray to the merciless universe that I wake up tomorrow completely fine.

If you want something to clear out the sinuses for cold/flu/illness relief, I highly recommend ginger and lemon tea if you can get your hands on it. I don't know how much it is in the states, but I got a pack of 40 for 99p.

Oh and regarding your post asking what you should do when you're sick (apart from LJ and watching movies of course), is to indulge in something new. While I still felt like crap, watching Blue Exorcist actually gave me a bit of relief because I was concentrating on the show rather than my sorry state.
