There was this Luna icon that I thought I saved but didn't, which was mainly her face (she was injured, I think it was from the last movie) right at the bottom and she was looking super-badass? Anyone know what I'm talking about?
I, too, know the loss of a beloved Luna icon. Sadly, when I went in search of the icons I thought you were talking about, I didn't find anything of quality. Is it the cap where she's in a blue sweater, though? I suppose since it was her face, you probably couldn't see her clothing. But I thought I'd ask just in case.
This is the only Luna cap I have, but I think the one you're thinking of is from PHOENIX, during the fight at the Ministry. She ends up with a mouthful of blood, and it's basically the most beautiful thing ever.
(If it is DH, then it's probably from when they rescue her? But I'm not sure about the light in those scenes, and I don't remember her face particularly well. I do know that if I had the PHOENIX icon, I'd use it instead of this one!)
See, I never really SHIPPED them, (I preferred Neville/Luna) but I think, structure wise and character wise, Luna was a far better romantic option than Ginny for Harry.
I was actually quite surprised JKR went with Ginny/Harry not because it's a bad pairing, but because book 5 really did set up the foundations for Harry/Luna. They shared similar tragic pasts, they felt safe enough with each other that they could talk about these experiences, they had such a great friendship/respect for one another, even if Harry didn't always 'get' Luna though I'm sure this would change over time because the more you get to know a person, the more you get to know their quirks.

There needs to be some kind of universal icon LOG which you can sort through :/
