I am going to try and get a manicure tomorrow, because my cuticles are things of horrors, but I have no clue what color to pick.

Do I go for a lighter, spring color?

Classic red?

Some dark jewel toned color?

Black, which I can never put on correctly when I do it myself?

Spring colors can be jewel tones, once you get past the first flush of cherry blossoms and daffodils. Look up broken tulips on Google image for some examples.
