I'm sick of dark and gritty too and I'm sick of Warner Bros' obsession with white dicks (read somewhere all the movies coming out for them this/next year star white dicks). Marvel is kicking DC's ass. If they didn't have iconic characters they wouldn't even exist anymore.

I am so glad that enough time has passed that people are starting to realize that the Nolan Batman movies (while, honestly, having some good qualities) are also needlessly grim with some really fucked up subtext.
