I pointed out to a friend elsewhere that Tony manages to brood less than Batman despite going through trauma greater than him AND (realistically) dealing with PTSD. "Man, I'm dealing with a lot of enemies who might harm my girlfriend. I'd better keep her close and try to keep her up to speed because she's capable and keeps me sane. Er."
I'm just gonna quote this great review right here... (http://redbrunja.tumblr.com/post/82499762223/honestly-its-quite-astonishing-how-much-misery)
ooh, right, thinking about it I loved the Lois and Clark version of Superman as a kid, at least in part because it viewed his day job as something other than an obstacle between him and saving the day, and Lois as pretty awesome in her own right.
Yeah, Lois and Clark was pretty pivotal to how I see Superman and Lois Lane.
. . . honestly I think Steve skews so far liberal it's only his citizenship that disqualifies him from being a Canadian politician.
Also I feel that it's just a given that, despite how they "pretended" Pepper didn't know about the Avengers initiative, Coulson granted her a higher clearance level than Tony around the end of the first movie.
I loved that show because it made the ship Lois/Clark instead of Lois/Superman, 'cause the thing is Superman is who you rely on if your car is going off a cliff, but Clark is the guy you rely on if you're up late getting an article in before the deadline and someone needs to go for a coffee run.
. . . we have Captain Canuck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Canuck). All I'm saying is that, the Conservative party aside, our politics is pretty much entirely skewed to the far, far left. Better frame of reference for Steve's views than trying to compare him to Democrats.

Didn't Nathan Fillian dress up as him one Halloween?
