This is from the comic "Fray" which is a story set in the future Buffy-verse. It's on of those icons that I keep thinking I might want to rotate out, yet always keep, just because it's such a gorgeous shot of her, and I love the splatter of blood, and the text is so damn apropos.

This is one of those icons that I see, and then chase the author down to find out if it's gackable. The colors are just fantastic, and while I always think the text says 'heritage' (no, I don't know why), the text is great, and it applies to so much of what the necklace represents and who Katara is.

Great scene, great line, two awesome characters, and I often have moments in my life when (I set the sewing pattern on fire) things seem to be going askew.
