(For example, give me a subject - episodes of a show, shoes, foods, books, etc - and I tell you my top five.)

Favorite fantasy heroines - regular, full-text books only, please! (That is, no manga for this one ...)

To answer this question, I wen tinto my room, and looked at which books I loved enough that I a.) bought them and b.) wanted them arranged so I could see them. ^_^

1.) Alanna, from the Song of the Lioness Quartet, from which I can trace so many of my ideas about correct feminine behavior, and how you react when people say you can't do something cause you're a girl. (Honorable mention, Daine, from the Wild Magic Series.

2.) Eddi, from War for the Oaks. The book that made me love urban fantasy.

3.) Rachel Morgan, from Dead Witch Walking. Totally kickass witch, this has the honor of also being my first femmeslash ship (that looks like it's going to be becoming canon). Also has a complex process to become a vampire, and keeps the vampires scary.

4.) Tremaine Valiadre. I think we've talked about her awesomeness before.

5.) Vivian, from Blood and Chocolate. A YA book, this is still one of the best books about werewolfs, and has one of the hottest romances around. Also, on reread, Vivian came across as a bit bitchier than I remember, and I love it - of course she could have some ideas about her worth, with the position she's in. (Daughter of the former pack leader, she's a little bit like a mob princess.)
