Some of my favorites for that girls-kick-ass feel are the PJ Harvey stuff I gave you earlier, Sleater-Kinney, Hole, the Gossip, and Bif Naked: this song in particular is one I keep on heavy repeat on my music player whenever I need a serious kick of self-esteem:

and the Rasputina thing is neat, sounds like a 50's girl song set to Goth violin with a message never dared spoken in the 50's except that it WAS (Lesley Gore sang this originally but it was probably closer to the 60's when this came out)
