Well, during the long, long hiatias after Boiling Rock, I was like, 'I think we need to see other people' and went off to screw around with Naruto, and then fandoms reaction to Southern Raiders was the end of the long, protracted break up fight that started with fandom's reaction to the end of WAT.
After that, people who see no problem with the finale except the fact that Suki was there (fucking bitch with her boobs and femininity she's unashamed of, that useless whore) and are like, 'oh, Aang is a hero! He stayed true to his morals!'
(Note: Usually I am REALLY GOOD at seeing and being okay with other people's opinions, but Aang? No. At this point, I hate him, and my pulse kicks up whenever I hear people squee or defend him. Which is another reason I got out of the fandom - I could feel myself becoming a fanbrat and it wasn't fun for me, and I have too much pride to be that person who ruins fandoms or is unreasonable and impossible to disagree with rationally.)
YES about Sakura/Zuko. I can see that working well. Zuko's just enough like Sasuke on the outside, but inside Zuko is all the things Sasuke isn't that 12 year old Sakura wished he was: noble, passionate, devoted. He's the angsty prince who not only would let her "save" him, but is actually worth saving.
Word. I want to do a post about how much I WANT to like Sasuke, and why I just CAN'T (it boils down to one thing) but I'm holding off because the easiest way to illustrate my point would be to compare him to Zuko, and I just don't know if I can do that. Zuko> Sasuke to infinity.
And I agree about an older Katara working much better with Kakashi, although I still don't think he'd be the BEST person for her. Actually, at the moment, I can't think of anyone who is awesome enough/would actually be good in a relationship with her from Naruto.
I would never put Katara with Shikamaru, however, and I don't think Kakashi has that much in common with Shikamaru except for intelligence and arrogance.
Oh, gods yes. Kakashi is SUCH a better person than Shikamaru, and I think he deserves a kinder wife that Shikamaru needs. (And I say that loving the Shikamaru/Temari relationship.)
