I really like Sasuke continuing to get his ass handed to him, and the fact that Juungo saved both Karin and shark-boy. Now I want OT3 fic for them.

Plus it seems to any team with Sasuke in it needs TWO medic nins just to keep him from suffering the consequences of his dumb, dumb plans.

Karin keeps getting hotter and hotter, doesn't she, what with with bite marks all over her body.

See, I'm wonering if I missed something somewhere. Why the hell are they so loyal to Sasuke, and why does he care about them? Seriously, he's asked Karin if she's all right like, three times now.

Oh, you know in a shounan manga asking someone if they're alright is like a marriage proposal. (Which is to say, I have NO idea why they're all following Sasuke. Well, Juungo makes sense, but the other two? No idea.)

Suigetsu gave some lame-ass excuse about it being about Kisame, didn't he? And I suppose you could argue that Karin is like Sakura when she was 12--completely smitten with him.

Both of these make me roll my eyes.

Yeah, considering what he has/will put them through and the fact that they don't have a Kakashi being like, 'you're trash if you don't support your team' it's kinda hard to understand why they're so attached to him.

And even excepting Kakashi, there's no reason for there to be any attachment between any of them. Naruto and Sakura actually knew him--who he was before he became ruthless and selfish and, I venture, a bad person--long enough and intimately enough to care about him and form bonds, and for him to form bonds with them. He was like a brother to Naruto, and I do think that Sakura really loved him. And, as I see it, he cared for them too.

Anything you could argue for Suigetsu and Karin pales in comparison.

Him asking Karin how she was kind of pissed me off, because I can't see any reason why he should care. These people don't know really know him and I don't think she sees beyond the superficial with him. Plus, he's already demonstrated how far he's fallen--why does bastard!Sasuke suddenly give a shit? It cheapens the bonds between Team 7 and it bugs me.

Yes, exactly. Naruto and Sakura have this whole history of who Sasuke was, and I don't even know if Sugetsu and Karin know his history - trying to act like there is the same bond between his new team and old, just feels so... fake.
